What is the goal of ZenTally?

ZenTally helps you reach your target weight by making calorie tracking as easy as possible (via photo & text) and helping you maintain a healthy deficit.

How is my calorie need calculated?

Your BMR (Mifflin-St Jeor formula, based on weight, height, age and gender) times your activity factor, plus logged sport. Your deficit is always relative to this need, never to the BMR.

Is this 100% accurate?

No, of course not. Everyone is different. However: It is accurate enough to identify a trend. Consistency is key.

Does ZenTally cost anything?

Starting is free (trial month). Afterwards ZenTally costs about €8 per month, conveniently by card or PayPal, with discounted 3-, 6- and 12-month plans.

How are macro targets calculated?

Your daily macro targets are based on your total daily energy expenditure (basal metabolic rate + sport). A 15% deficit is applied. Protein: 1.6 g/kg (1.8 g/kg for 50+). Fat: 25% of target calories. Carbs: the rest. Targets adjust daily based on sport activity.
